How To Claim
The following steps outline the process to apply and secure the return of your unclaimed money or
abandoned property from the agency holding your check:
- My Unclaimed Money.net contacts you to verify if you are the party
referenced in our letter to you. Should you wish to utilize our services, please sign the agreement
and return a copy of it to us by regular mail if you agree to the terms and conditions listed.
- Once we receive the agreement, My Unclaimed Money.net then supplies you
with the following information to help you begin the unclaimed money claims process:
- The name of the institution or agency holding your refund check.
- The agency's contact information.
- The reference account number on record.
- You contact the government agency using the reference account number to inquire about the refund
or property due you, and to secure the appropriate forms and proof needed to apply for your unclaimed
assets.
- After you send the required proof to the government agency to validate your claim, the agency will
send you the refund check or instructions on how to obtain your property (usually within 4 to 8 weeks
time).
- Once you receive your unclaimed money refund or lost property, a payment amounting to 15% of the
assets you received is sent using PayPal, Cashiers Check or Money Order to My
Unclaimed Money.net.
